presence count for only 15% of the judging. This program is
about pursuing a college education, community service, and being
a representative of the finest qualities of today's youth.
If you are interested in being a contestant in the 2008 Shasta

Sponsorship Fees
What is
the required sponsorship fee?
The $60
sponsorship fee is required for you to be in the pageant. You
must raise your sponsorship fee by going out into the community.
It is due 2/11/2008.
How do I
get sponsors?
The best
place to begin is where your family does business. Some examples
are: cleaners, doctors, banks, dentists, local stores,
restaurants, and salons. Dress nicely and visit the prospective
sponsor IN PERSON. This will help your interview skills.
Here’s
how to get ‘em!
Step 1:
Make a list of prospective sponsors.
Step 2:
Dress up! Look your best because it shows that you care!
Step 3:
Visit the sponsor in person! A personal visit with a smile is
just the right thing to do.
Step 4:
Share the good news and your goal! Tell the prospective sponsor
about the pageant. They will be impressed with your achievement.
Step 5:
Thank them with a smile! Send a thank-you note!
Can I
simply pay the sponsorship fee myself?
No! This
experience is important! If you’re having difficulty, ask 3
different sponsors to donate $20 each. That equals $60!
Why do I
need a sponsor fee?
Sponsor fees help offset the cost of producing a pageant.
Sponsor fees pay pageant expenses, such as prizes, awards,
lighting, music, etc.
